We are excited to announce that TEDxSinCity – the first TedX event in Las Vegas, Nevada, was a hit. Our very own Dr. Marc Gafni offered a compelling, deep, and beautifully rich 18-minute teaching on Your Unique Self: The Future of Enlightenment. And we are truly delighted to share this video teaching with you.
Your Unique Self is the infinite love intelligence, which is all that is—living in you, as you, and through you. It is the perspective of your enlightenment. Your Unique Perspective is sourced beyond any and all social, cultural and psychological conditioning.
The postmodern revolution raised our expectations for love and intimacy—now many of us want to find a “soulmate”, not a mere spouse.
Join us this week for a groundbreaking dialogue with Claudio Naranjo, one of World Spirituality’s great-grandfathers and revolutionaries.
We sometimes wait our whole lives to hear “I love you” spoken with total authenticity. We may wait even longer to be able to say it. But to hear or speak these words sincerely is a complete affirmation of all that is sacred. For many of us today, the words ‘love’ and ‘meaning’ are virtually indistinguishable.
In this dialogue we will consider the following questions: Where are we in the overall unfolding of spirituality in a historical context? What are your views with respect with the question of whether people need to orient in one particular tradition or path, or whether there is spiritual benefit in partaking of multiple paths and traditions? How can one partake of multiple traditions without becoming a dilettante?
Millions of spiritual seekers today are confused. Some grew up in religions that they left and charted their own spiritual path. Others were raised without religion and found their way to spiritual practice. Still others practice in a particular religion yet do not feel that it holds the exclusive truth, and feel powerfully attracted to other systems of spirit that might deepen or compliment their native tradition. It is clear that the time for the emergence of Spirit’s next step is now, and that the emergence of a World Spirituality is an evolutionary step in human history.
The Perennialists made one huge mistake. They intentionally ignored the evolutionary context. Schoun and Smith not only ignore it, they identified and rejected evolution as being the enemy of eternity. In their understandable desire to locate modern man in the ground of eternity, they intuitively viewed the dynamic emergence of evolution as a threat. This is a huge mistake. Evolution and Eternity are not enemies. Rather, Evolution is the nature of Eternity. Or at least evolution, or what Alfred North Whitehead called Becoming, is One taste of Eternity. Evolution is a mechanism of eternity’s emergent properties as eternity chooses to manifest in the world of time. Evolution is no less than the chosen mechanism of the mystery.
