The Center for Human Emergence Netherlands is the Dutch node of the Global Center for Human Emergence (CHE). The CHE is designed to meet the needs of our world as it traverses a significant non-linear epochal transformation in which old ways of thinking, working and organising are collapsing in the face of new conditions that they are ill-equipped to deal with. This is what Einstein was talking about when he said “We cannot solve a problem from the same level of consciousness that created it.”

After three years of experiential learning we are now happy to reach our aspired goal together with the European Integral Academy Foundation (EIA) and the Integrales Forum (IF): The establishment of DIA –“ Die Integrale Akademie” as container and expression of our intention to bring together qualified teachers und interested organizations under the umbrella-topic “integral”. In this project the EIA and the IF contribute their integral expertise as well as financial means to realize this important goal. The Integrale Initiative Frankfurt e.V. will serve as the formal and legal container of DIA – Die Integrale Akademie.We are very happy that we were able to win the renown researcher in the field of adult development, Dr. Susanne Cook-Greuter (I-I), as our president. Drishti was founded in February 2003, with a vision for transformational eco-social change that blends current approaches to environmental and social issues with practices of contemplative action.We are made up of a diverse array of board members with experience working in government, business, environmental groups, and communities, both in Canada and internationally. Our approach to eco-social issues is guided by integral theory. This approach brings together a myriad of disciplines and strategies into a dynamic whole, such that they inform and complement each other. This approach also integrates the “exterior”, practical aspects of life (such as ecology, economics and social systems) with the “interior”, subtle aspects of humanity (like psychology, culture and spirituality). By uniting disciplines and by acknowledging the role of interiority in society, the integral approach includes more of reality in its embrace. Thus, it offers a more comprehensive framework for understanding eco-social issues and more appropriate methods of working with such issues. Currently we are working with partner NGOs in Peru, El Salvador,  Nigeria, and Canada to develop Integral capacity for work in rainforest conservation, community engagement, and leadership for sustainable development.

It is generally agreed to speak of the German speaking countries as a “hotbed” of integral activities in Europe. Several organizations, salons, KW reading groups, ILP circles and the like have emerged over time. Among the most influential is the “Integrales Forum”(IF), formerly known as “Arbeitskreis Ken Wilber” with roots that reach back ten years now. In addition it has several branches that explore applications of the integral model in politics, education, ecology, business, and youth (iMove). Its annual conferences are well-visited and highlight new developments in the field, including national and international speakers.  Ken Wilber regularly joins the conferences via telephone. The “Integrales Forum” produces a quarterly integral magazine in German language called “integrale perspektiven” that reaches all of the IF members as well as a growing number of subscribers. Next Step Integral brings integral visions into action…

We are devoted to advancing human consciousness and bringing integral perspectives into practice, especially focusing on the following areas:

•    Integral Education:  We offer an annual seminar and are designing a residential program in a cutting-edge integral learning environment for young adults at the Integral Life Institute.
•    Integral Parenting:  Planning on conceiving? Already a parent? Consider joining us for a parenting intensive! We offer courses and coaching for parents interested in bringing an awakened integral perspective to one of the most wonderful, challenging and important tasks on earth, that of accompanying and raising a child.
•     Integral Ecology:  Learn about the first large-scale integral forestry project in the world on 35 000 acres of forested land in British Columbia, Canada.
•    Integral Life and Community:  At the heart of Next Step Integral lies the vision of a demonstration site of Integral Life on Earth, an Integral Ecovillage. We are currently in the design phase of this exciting project.
